Establishing the best healthcare practices through a dedicated training portfolio by world-leading education institutions is The Healthcare Academy’s mission. TÜV AUSTRIA is to contribute courses related to international standards applicable for healthcare organisations and its providers and suppliers focusing on quality, safety, IT security and business continuity.
 
The Healthcare Academy held its inaugural ceremony at IMC Congress Hall in the Skolkovo Innovation Center, Moscow’s very own “Silicon Valley”. Moscow’s Department for Healthcare and Department for Development and Construction, the head of IMC, Counsellor of Austria Advantage, the Attaché for Science and Technologies at the Austrian embassy in the Russian Federation and the director general of TÜV AUSTRIA Standards & Compliance celebrated this historic inaugural event with opening addresses focusing on the importance of international cooperation in the field of health and further education. 

First Training Course: EN 15224
The Health Academy‘s first pilot training course was dedicated to the EN 15224 standard and the special requirements of quality management systems for healthcare organisations with focus on clinical risks control techniques. All course materials and guidance were provided by TÜV AUSTRIA Hellas, a fully owned TÜV AUSTRIA Group subsidiary accredited for EN 15224 certification.
 
Course attendees of The Healthcare Academy pilot event represented administration and medical staff of both state and private hospitals and clinics. These leading institutions are united at the front line in the fight for human lives against COVID-19 and eager to be integrated into global processes of dealing with the corona-virus. 

As education and certification are considered key building blocks of the world’s future beyond COVID-19, The Health Academy positions itself as a gateway to new opportunities in the health sector defined by its highly qualified graduates.
