Energy

Optimise your own energy consumption, reduce costs: TÜV AUSTRIA has the right concept for energy consumers to realise potential savings.

Together with you, TÜV AUSTRIA optimises the energy use in your company and thus also improves its efficiency. In an energy audit, the main energy consumers in your company are first identified together with the TÜV auditor. These can then be analysed and optimised in terms of consumption.

External energy audit according to EN 16247

The TÜV AUSTRIA energy experts offer independent energy audits in accordance with the applicable standard EN 16247. Together with you, they analyse your energy consumption and uncover your potential for energy savings in terms of type and scope.

In a kick-off meeting, our auditors agree with you on the goals, areas of application and limits. At the same time, they will agree with you on a schedule, the responsible and necessary contact persons, the level of detail required for the investigation and the subsequent practical procedure.

In the course of an initial data collection, the auditor will analyse your energy consumption data of the last few years of all affected energy-consuming systems, processes and equipment.

During an on-site inspection, the TÜV auditors record further necessary analysis data and gain an impression of, for example, the condition of the plant and buildings and user behaviour.

On the basis of this data, the auditors carry out an analysis in which their energy consumption is examined over time and the existing energy flows and their influence are evaluated. TÜV AUSTRIA uses the results to create individual energy key figures for you. The result is a catalogue of measures for improving your energy consumption.

TÜV AUSTRIA will summarize all results in a report for you and explain the proposed measures for increasing efficiency in detail. The auditor then presents this report to your company. Of course, TÜV AUSTRIA is still available to answer your questions.

Energy Performance Certificate

According to the EU building directive, which was implemented in Austria by the Energy Performance Certificate Act, the presentation of an energy certificate is mandatory for new buildings, extensions, conversions and existing buildings as an enclosed document for all property, purchase and rental contracts.

In addition, the Energy Performance Certificate is required by the provinces as a basis for the allocation of housing subsidies. An energy performance certificate shows you in an easily comprehensible way where the weak points and improvement potential of a building lie.

The energy performance certificate provides detailed information on climate and building characteristics, such as heating, cooling and energy requirements of the property.

Our experts will work out proposals for measures to optimise the energy consumption of your building and will be happy to help you with advice and implementation of the individual energy saving measures.
thermography. Saving energy and costs.

In the cold season, we think about insulation, thermal protection and thermography. Using invisible infrared (heat) radiation, building thermography reveals weak points in the building envelope.

Building tightness test - Blower Door Test

The building tightness test is a measurement to examine the air tightness of the building envelope. TÜV AUSTRIA carries out the building tightness measurement as differential pressure measurement according to OENORM EN 13829 (Blower Door Measurement) in procedure A or B.

The pressure difference between inside and outside is measured and the amount of air conveyed for positive and negative pressure situations. Taking into account the building volume, the average air exchange rate per hour is determined at a pressure difference of 50 Pascal (n50). This value describes the tightness of the building envelope and indicates how often the air in the building is exchanged per hour due to leakage.

When measuring in procedure A (testing the building in use), the condition of the building envelope should correspond to the condition during the season in which heating or air conditioning systems are used.

The building leakage test is required for:

  •     Proof for residential construction subsidies
  •     Determination of the air tightness of the building
  •     Quality inspection of the building envelope

The inspection is carried out after the order has been placed and following the appointment, if possible within 2 - 4 weeks.

TÜV AUSTRIA documents the results for you as a recognized independent institution in a test report. On the basis of the "Checklist Blower Door Test" completed by you, we will be pleased to provide you with an individual offer and look forward to your inquiry.
