The Atos IT Solutions and Services GmbH (ATOS) high-security data center in Vienna's 21st District fulfills the high security requirements for data center operations, and, as a result, has received the "Trusted Data Center" quality seal from TÜV TRUST IT.
In order to meet the growing demand for secure and accessible data centers, Atos has set up a high-availability data center complex on a total area of 1,800 m² at its premises in Vienna. It consists of the Atos Data Center Vienna North (997 m² in the 21st District) and the Atos Data Center Vienna South (812 m² in the 10th District), and is available to customers in Austria as well as throughout Central and Eastern Europe.
In the course of continuous digitization and the resulting enormous data volumes, demand in the areas of IT outsourcing and cloud computing is growing steadily. More and more companies are choosing to outsource their IT to a professional service provider. In addition to substantial cost savings, this also allows companies to focus on their core business as part of their overall strategy. Malfunctions and failures can result in financial damages, and, in a worst case scenario, legal consequences. As one of the leading IT service providers and supplier of digital services, Atos has many years of experience and expertise in operating powerful data centers and implementing demanding outsourcing projects.
In order to transparently prove to their customers the high security standards of the data center, ATOS has entrusted TÜV TRUST IT with the quality seal certification of its data center according to its "Trusted Data Center" standard. The three objectives of availability, confidentiality, and integrity as well as requirements for business continuity, are checked for compliance with the defined criteria of the test catalog. For this purpose, TÜV TRUST IT has established an evaluation standard, taking into account national and international standards as well as best practices. This allows data centers to be evaluated for their capacity to withstand technical faults and the processes required to ensure operational safety.
In the certification project, first the existing documentation was checked for plausibility and compliance with the "Trusted Data Center" test catalog. This was followed by an analysis of the technical and procedural conditions. In a third step, the structural and technical aspects were compared to the previously achieved results by means of an inspection. The positive test results led to the successful completion of the "Trusted Data Center" certification.
