TÜV AUSTRIA Hellas has taken part in inspections of the largest photovoltaic plants in Jordan as an independent inspection body of major ongoing investment projects in the Middle East.

Having played a leading role in setting up the first large-scale power-generation projects by private initiative, the high-quality testing and commissioning services offered by TÜV AUSTRIA Hellas have been recognised by all the power distribution companies in Jordan.

From the beginning of 2015 until today, TÜV AUSTRIA Hellas has inspected the following installations of various scopes in Jordan:

  1. Royal Hashemite Court (PV installation with 5.5 MWp in Raghadan Palace in Amman): Besides inspections and tests carried out to prepare for the final acceptance of the plant on behalf of the Royal Technical Service, tests of the plant’s efficiency were also conducted.

  2. Ayla 1 (PV installation with 3.3 MWp in Aqaba in the South Jordan border region with Israel): Inspections and tests were carried out to prepare for the final acceptance of the plant on behalf of the investor and the commissioning at medium and low voltage. TÜV AUSTRIA Hellas was solely responsible for connecting the plant with the grid. Ayla 1 is the first solar power station in Jordan to be connected with the medium-voltage power grid. TÜV AUSTRIA Hellas has already been contracted by the neighbouring station for the same services.

  3. Albadiya (PV installation with 12 MWp in Mafraq in the North Jordan border region with Syria): Inspections and tests were carried out to prepare for the final acceptance of the plant on behalf of the investor and the commissioning at medium and low voltage. TÜV AUSTRIA Hellas was solely responsible for connecting the plant with the grid. Albadiya station is the second solar power station in Jordan to be connected with the medium-voltage power grid after Ayla 1.

  4. Falcon Ma’an Project (PV installation with 23 ΜWp in Ma’an): The review and assessment of the contracts for the construction and maintenance of the solar power station in Ma’an has been completed.

All tests and inspections were conducted by highly qualified experts from TÜV AUSTRIA Hellas in accordance with the applicable inspection specifications. TÜV AUSTRIA Hellas is a reliable partner and the best choice for the inspection and certification of large engineering and infrastructure projects in Greece as well as in the Balkans and the Middle East, where it operates through subsidiaries and representatives.
