Thomas Biedermann Fortifies TÜV AUSTRIA Group’s Management Team

In addition to his position as a further executive business director of Service Providers & Public for TÜV AUSTRIA Group, Thomas Biedermann will support TÜV TRUST IT, a wholly-owned subsidiary of TÜV AUSTRIA Group based in Cologne, as a member of the management board.
Thomas Biedermann studied Business Administration at the Technical University of Cologne and held various management positions at TÜV Rheinland in the course of his international career. Initially, he was head of the Central Cost Accounting Department before becoming Head of the Controlling Division for six years. Subsequently, he was Divisional Director for Western Europe for six years. In that position, he was responsible for 20 companies in 12 countries with sales of 140 million euros and 1,600 employees.
After that, he was appointed to the executive board of TÜV Rheinland AG, where he was responsible not only for ICT & Business Solutions as well as Academy & Lifecare with sales of approx. 330 million euros but was also the board member for Human Resources.
A passionate marathon runner, Biedermann, whose professional self-image is “Change is the new normal”, is also active on various committees. Thus, he is a member of the Wirtschaftsrat Deutschland, the International Board of Advisors of the Technical University of Cologne and the extended executive board of Stadtmarketing Köln e.V.

Biedermann’s chief tasks include expanding the associated business divisions, accelerating their international orientation and establishing new solution offerings.
