TÜV AUSTRIA Group makes valuable socio-ecological contribution

Dipl.-Ing. Dr. Stefan Haas, CEO TÜV AUSTRIA, underlines the special importance of the AfB cooperation: "As an innovative partner, TÜV AUSTRIA combines technology, environment and society. Since the beginning of the partnership, AfB has collected and processed 444 IT and mobile devices with a total weight of 2.8 tons at different TÜV AUSTRIA locations throughout Austria. AfB was able to remarket 73% of the devices through a certified process after data destruction, hardware testing, spare parts procurement, repair, upgrading and cleaning.
TÜV AUSTRIA thus made a valuable contribution to resource conservation in these first 1.5 years of cooperative collaboration, which is reflected in impressive figures - determined according to the myclimate Group's own measurement method:
Saved iron equivalent 26.771 kg
Saved energy 191.735 kWh
Savings CO2 48.162 kg equivalent
Water consumption 340.811 liters
Due to the number and quality of the equipment provided, TÜV AUSTRIA has also taken on the sponsorship of the employment of a person with disabilities.
