In addition to security of supply, it is above all the technical safety of industrial plants, products and services that must be maintained. TÜV AUSTRIA stands for this technical safety, especially in times of crisis. Stefan Haas, CEO of the TÜV AUSTRIA Group: "It is now particularly important to have a reliable partner for all safety-related matters. As TÜV AUSTRIA, we have a social responsibility towards society, the economy, our employees and the millions of consumers. We offer professional assistance and are available to our customers with advice and support wherever possible, even during the crisis".
Solutions - individual and adapted to the situation
TÜV AUSTRIA offers a range of solutions to support companies in the current crisis situation. For example, a special procedure for maintaining the validity of certificates without having to carry out an on-site audit, contactless materials testing using mobile laboratories, "Remote Facility Management Support" or e-learning programs and Skype training courses, which guarantee the best training and further education opportunities in home office mode.
Testing and inspection activities are continued as well as possible
Industrial plant safety, elevator technology, medical devices or destructive and non-destructive materials testing: testing and inspection activities are continued as well as possible. If presence is required, TÜV AUSTRIA technicians carry out their tests and inspections in compliance with strict hygiene measures and if possible outside normal business hours. Evaluation, findings and invoicing are then carried out remotely and digitally. It goes without saying that TÜV AUSTRIA Elevator Technology also ensures that the safe travel up and down buildings is always guaranteed now as well, that escalators are inspected and that everything fits in with the building's technical environment. But likewise, the wheel and tyre testing by TÜV AUSTRIA continues as usual in terms of driving safety.
Home office triggers rise of cybercrimes
TÜV AUSTRIA's IT experts provide round-the-clock support on how the increased use of home offices can effectively counteract the increasing incidence of cybercrime. TÜV AUSTRIA's Innovation Group is continuing to develop the Safe-Secure-System-Labs until the situation returns to normal.
Stefan Haas: "TÜV AUSTRIA's business solutions are designed to provide the best possible support for the economy in this extraordinary situation and help ensure that companies and their employees can take advantage of all opportunities again as quickly as possible after the crisis".
