TÜV AUSTRIA Hellas certifies leading Greek retail chain AB Vassilopoulos’ Vehicles for Road Safety Management Systems

A leading player in the Greek retail field, AB Vassilopoulos trusted TÜV AUSTRIA Hellas to certify its distribution and supply fleet according to international standard ISO 39001.  

ISO 39001 sets the requirements for the development and implementation of an effective road safety management system. The aim of the process is to reduce and eliminate road events and implement a proactive culture of the company employees’ being careful on the road.

AB Vassilopoulos undertakes the safety measures and prevention practices on road safety for its employees in collaboration with a reliable partner such as TÜV AUSTRIA Hellas. This certification process develops a structured and comprehensive framework for road safety policies and also corresponding procedures and actions. The implementation of this standard’s requirements contributes not only to eliminating road incidents for employees, but also to reducing operating costs. The main goal is the continuous improvement of the company’s performance as regards road safety management issues and successful monitoring of the implementation of the relevant legislation.
