Electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) & materials testing: the magic word is "Remote connection"

Whether corrosion studies, material tests in the laboratory or tests accompanying development. TÜV AUSTRIA processes many customer requirements on time and without contact. The clients are involved via remote connections.

The materials scientists atTÜV AUSTRIA Group Member METALogic, one of the leading international corrosion specialists in Leuven, Belgium, are also "in time" with their study assignments and laboratory tests. A rapid switch to "contactless" working made this possible.

As far as the execution of corrosion studies is concerned, team meetings are organised via video conferences, participants have been provided with appropriate equipment as required and are thus able to meet deadlines agreed with customers.

To ensure continuity in the investigation and monitoring of material damage phenomena in general and corrosion in particular, TÜV AUSTRIA materials engineerswork in shifts in the METALogic lab, with regular remote connections to clients in the chemical, petrochemical, steel and other industries.

Remoteverbindungen im TÜV AUSTRIA Technology & Innovation Center

In the TÜV AUSTRIA Technology & Innovation Center in Vienna, a series of tests have been running completely contactless for several weeks. In the EMC hall, Austria's largest facility for testing the electromagnetic compatibility of products, for example, tests accompanying development are carried out under the guidance of the customer, but without his physical presence, by means of remote connections.
