- Examination of the specific bases of certification for the product
- Assessment of the suitability of the bases of certification for the product
- Assessment of the suitability/competence and accreditation of the laboratories/testing bodies that have issued the certificates
- Evaluation of compliance with test reports/expert assessments in relation to the requirements of ISO/IEC 17025
- Review of existing documentation on which tests/expert assessments are based, taking into account any special provisions that may exist
- Examination of the contents of relevant test results/expert assessments in relation to underlying EU directives
- Check for whether underlying expert assessments are up to date in line with the product
- Review of expert assessments based on the current underlying standards and guidelines
- Validation of testing and inspection bodies as well as experts
- Proof of required testing according to national and international standards
- Evaluation of test results/expert assessments for whether their results are clearly positive and verifiable
