- Examination of the process according to defined quality standards
- Evaluation of the process according to the state of the art or best practice methods
- Testing according to national and international standards
- Review of existing documentation and process controls
- Review of existing certificates/test reports available for the process
- Inspection of the existing QM system and regulations in the organization relevant to it
- Monitoring of the production process and/or manufacturing method
- Examination of the process in the full scope of the underlying standards (possibly in cooperation with the manufacturer if necessary)
