The Sudanese Standards and Metrology Organization (SSMO) has approved TÜV AUSTRIA Group as an international surveyor for importing and exporting goods from and to the Sudan. This marks another major step in the company’s redefinition of a key service to the global market.
The Global Market Access Program (GMAP) concerns market entry management for goods. It is a vital aspect of trade designed to ensure legality and product quality. TÜV AUSTRIA started its GMAP services in Saudi Arabia (SASO), Egypt (GOEIC) and the US and Canada (export of machinery) in 2014. TÜV AUSTRIA has since made a name for itself as a dependable, agile provider of GMAP services.
“Anybody can do speed,” asserts TÜV AUSTRIA MENA Regional Manager Yanki Ünal, “but everybody depends on transparency and service quality, which is our unique value proposition.” The experienced manager and his GMAP staff have been dedicating themselves to lifting the burden off manufacturers and exporters: “We create customer value through our 24/7 availability starting from China to Spain, our end-to-end labelling, sealing and documentation procedure,” the general manager of TÜV AUSTRIA Turk, a subsidiary of TÜV AUSTRIA Group, elaborates, always looking to walk the extra mile for the customer – for a clear reason.
International standards are constantly in evolving. Manufacturers must keep up with often rapid changes to grow their business. It is at this juncture that customer loyalty with TÜV AUSTRIA is created, explains Yanki Ünal: “We step in as full-fledged partners to allow them to focus on their core business.”
Market entry management grows into a dedicated long-term partnership in the reliable hands of Yanki Ünal and the TÜV AUSTRIA GMAP division. The growing numbers of authorizations speak for themselves: TÜV AUSTRIA is the only approved international goods surveyor in Turkey and Egypt. Furthermore, new country programmes like Libya and SFDA Food Drug Authority (food and cosmetics sectors) started in January 2020. TÜV Austria Group will extend its services portfolio in Africa and Middle East with new GMAP programmes in 2020.
There is indeed more inside the TÜV AUSTRIA GMAP “partnership” for manufacturers, exporters and importers.
